Scene the News Poll Results - 89% Say Cabarets Must Close

The Paphos News has been monitoring opinion on this controversial subject over the last 6 weeks via an online poll on our website www.scenethenews.com, asking; “Should the Cyprus Government take action against the Cabaret trade?” The poll was initiated in response to an article in our sister publication the Paphos Scene entitled “Life is a Cabaret” in which we investigated how the island’s cabaret clubs are being used as a thinly-veiled cover for prostitution.

The poll results have been overwhelming, so now we’ll be putting the question to those in authority, asking “What should be done?” Watch this space.
